AbstractIn this paper, we design, and also experimentally verify, a passivity-based controller that forces an induction motor which has significant magnetic saturation to track a time-varying optimal flux trajectory. As a result, we are able to provide close tracking of a time-varying speed/position trajectory that requires close to the maximum torque achievable by the motor within the voltage and current limits.
